Cultivation
Carolina Reaper Yellow seeds germinate in about 2-3 weeks. It is important to maintain a stable temperature of around 25 °C for further growth. As this chilli bush does not grow very large, you can grow it on a balcony. But don’t forget to water and fertilise regularly. If you do everything right, you’ll get your first ripe fruit in 90 days!
Appearance and flavour
As the name suggests, Carolina Reaper Yellow fruit is deep yellow. They are almost round, about 5 cm in diameter. This hybrid was created by crossing Habanero Yellow and Naga Moricho chillies and is very fiery, around 2 200 000 SHU. Nevertheless, it has a wonderful citrusy aroma and flavour, making it a beloved condiment. It is ideal for those who enjoy particularly spicy dishes, sauces, marinades or salsa.
